If some car drivers (or even motorcyclists) did this, they would be lucky to escape prison.

This is fairly representative of many of the cyclists I now see around Bristol. A few years ago cyclists were generally sensible, but these days a significant number think that their own safety is none of their responsibility. Stuff like the 20mph city-wide limit (update: Unfortunately now approved) should not go ahead because it will simply make cyclists even more reckless.
